School Tours!

Albion Orchards is the perfect place to introduce your students to the wonders of nature and the reality of farming. Our school tours are informative, educational and lots of fun! Your students will learn first hand the steps a farmer must take to ensure a healthy and nutritious crop. Your class will go into the heart of the orchard, where their learning experience will begin. Students are encouraged to ask questions and interact throughout the tour.

Albion Orchards’ knowledgeable Tour Guide will educate your students on:

· Pruning and caring for the trees and Apples.

· The importance of bees and the pollination process.

· Differences between varieties and harvest times.

· What happens at harvest time?

· Explanation of farm equipment.

· Shown how to properly pick an Apple.

· Actual Apple picking.

· Pumpkin Farming

· Tour of Apple storage building and display of Apple related products.

Each student will get to pick a 3lb bag of Apples from the tree to take home, as well as, an apple related coloring sheet. Each class will receive a bag of Apples and one Pumpkin to take back to the classroom. Tours are approximately 1 1/2 to 2 hours - $7.00 per student. Our Indoor lunch areas are available on a first come first serve basis. Access to Hay Play Land and/or the Nature Walk for students is also available time and space permitting.

* Although we are closed from December to August, our office is always open for booking tours. So don't wait call today!
